North Shore Steel COVID-19 Message
Dear Valued Customers and Vendors,
As we noted in our letter dated March 17, 2020, North Shore Steel is taking every step necessary to ensure the safety of our employees, customers, and vendors in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We extend our thoughts and well wishes to you, your families, and your companies as we collectively work through this unprecedented situation.
Today the City of Houston announced a “stay-at-home” order effective at midnight March 25, 2020 through April 3, 2020. As a steel supplier to several critical industries, North Shore Steel is an “essential” business per the Homeland Security, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
North Shore Steel will therefore continue normal hours of operation until further notice. We realize you depend on us and we will do everything possible to preserve continuity of supply chain, as long as we can do it safely, with no reduction in material availability, customer service levels, or product quality.
We have decided to not take any in-office or in-person meetings. We are also taking extra precautions for any third-party visitors to our business locations. We are doing this to keep our customers, vendors and employees safe, and we appreciate your cooperation.
We will keep you and our employees regularly informed going forward.
Sincerely,
Byron Cooper
President & COO
