North Shore Steel Loves Our Seniors and Veterans

Have you ever stopped to think about what Valentine’s Day really means? What if Valentine’s Day was just a day like any other, a day between the 13th and 15th of February.

Maybe someone’s version of Valentine’s Day is sitting in a wheelchair, reminiscing about a nice dinner or receiving flowers from a loved one. Maybe someone’s Valentine’s Day is laying in a hospital bed at a Veteran’s healthcare facility, and the person who passes by will wish them a Happy Valentine’s Day.

Although we may feel incapable to change situations beyond our control for people, North Shore Steel CAN do something for people who may otherwise be forgotten on Valentine’s Day.
This Valentine’s Day The Justice League collected over 600 Valentine’s Day cards, which were distributed to several nursing homes in the Livingston area, and Baytown, TX. We were also able to send cards to two Veteran Healthcare Facilities in Temple, TX and Austin, TX. Knowing what receiving a card on this special day could mean to the recipients and the smile North Shore Steel was able to bring to their face is a feeling we cannot put into words. Although we were not able to hand these cards ourselves, we know we made some hearts happy.

Our hearts are full and we are proud to work with such kind hearted individuals.

“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” Mother Theresa
