Grades Available
Common carbon steel plate, primarily used for structural applications such as bridges, buildings, and other general purposes. Produced in as-rolled condition. Tensile range is 58-80 KSI and minimum Yield is 36 KSI. Max thickness is only limited by steel-making capabilities. A36 MOD has the same requirements as A36 with a modified Manganese of 0.85-1.35%.
High-strength, quenched and tempered all steel plate, primarily used for bridged and other structural applications. Produced in heat treat condition in grades A, B, E, F, H, P, Q, and S (up to 6”). Tensile ranges from 100-130 KSI and Yield has a minimum of 100 KSI (up to 2-1/2”) and 90 KSI (over 2-1/2”).
High-strength low-alloy steel plate, primarily used for bridge construction and other structural applications where notch toughness is important. Produced in as-rolled condition in grades 42 (up to 6”), 50 (up to 4”), 55 (up to 2”), 60 (up to 1-1/4”), and 65 (up to 1-1/4”), with the grade dictating the minimum KSI Yield requirement.
Carbon-manganese-silicon steel plate, primarily used for structural applications at atmospheric temperatures where improved notch toughness is critical. Produced in as-rolled condition up to 1-1/2” max thickness.
High-strength low-alloy steel plate, primarily used for bridges and buildings where savings in weight or added durability are important. This grade also has a substantially better atmospheric corrosion resistance than other carbon structural steels. Produced in as-rolled condition in grades A, B, C, and K (up to 8”). Tensile ranges from 63-70 KSI minimum and Yield ranges from 42-50 KSI minimum based on thickness specified.
