Steel Welding & NDE Services
Although we are not a fabricator, we do offer important ASME steel welding services to complement our other value-added processes. Our primary automated seam welding offerings are long seam and girth seam welding of steel plate cylinders and cones per ASME Section I and ASME Section VIII. Common applications including pressure vessels, boilers, and heat exchangers.
Our code welding capacity is 14’ diameter, 6” thick, and 120 tons. We maintain ASME PRT by using a combination of gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and sub-arc. Our welding is performed on 5 new Lincoln sub-arcs, all outfitted with tandem wire capability. Flux-core is also available.
We also offer structural pipe welding through our affiliate company, Greens Bayou Pipe Mill, per AWS D1.1 with tolerances per API-2B.

Grades / Metals Welded
- Carbon Steel - A36, A572-50, A516-70
- Stainless Steel - 304, 316
We have several high quality, tandem wire Lincoln Electric sub-arcs that can perform long seam welding up to 6” thick. Our welds are extremely high quality and come with full ASME certification and documentation.
We perform girth seam welds using a dual girth station setup, meaning we can weld two girth welds on the same vessel at the same time. This allows us to weld your subsections into larger shells for big projects very efficiently and with unparalleled quality.
Our NDE provider is onsite at our facility 24-7 performing UT (ultrasonic), MT (mag particle), RT (x-ray), PT (dye penetrant), VT (visual), and other nondestructive examination services. Cobalt x-ray is used for 3” thick and thicker welds, and we also offer digital x-ray and phased array UT services. NDE personnel certifications and testing procedures are available upon request.
